Hypnotherapist: what to know

A hypnotherapist uses hypnosis, an altered state of awareness and focus, to support you towards a specific goal. Sessions can help you work on habits, stress management or particular fears, alongside medical care whenever that is needed.

When to book an appointment

• Wanting to stop smoking or change a habit
• Stress, tension or difficulty getting to sleep at night
• Nerves before an exam or public speaking
• Specific fears, such as flying or the dentist

Costs in Switzerland

In Switzerland, sessions with a hypnotherapist are generally covered by supplementary insurance; check with your insurer whether the practitioner is recognised and what limits apply.
