Shiatsu therapist: what to know
A shiatsu therapist practises a hands-on method of Japanese origin, applying pressure with the fingers, palms and elbows along the body. This complementary therapy aims to encourage relaxation, balance and general wellbeing, without replacing medical care.
When to book an appointment
- Stress, restlessness or a lasting feeling of tiredness
- Muscle tension in the back, neck or shoulders
- Wanting a holistic approach to physical wellbeing
- Complementary support during a demanding period of life
Costs in Switzerland
Shiatsu is generally covered by supplementary insurance; reimbursement depends on your policy and on whether your insurer recognises the therapist.
