Massage therapist: what to know

A massage therapist provides massage to relax muscles, ease tension and support physical well-being. Depending on their training, they may offer classic or sports massage or lymphatic drainage, and can work alongside your medical care where this is helpful.

When to book an appointment

• Muscle tension in the back or neck
• Recovery after an intense sporting activity
• Stress or fatigue caused by work
• A feeling of heavy legs or fluid retention

Costs in Switzerland

Massage is generally covered by supplementary insurance if your insurer recognises the practitioner; check your policy before booking a session.
